News that the Netherlands, Z.L.U., will not be participating in this race will make a big dent in the entry. It arises, I believe, over an inability to reach a compromise on marking time and days and if nothing else goes to show that at times the UK is not the only place that cannot manage to work together.

Sunday 17th July. Held over due to weather.

Monday 18th July. The B.I.C.C. is reporting that the birds will be brought back to Agen.

From Entente Belge

"As a result of adverse weather conditions in Tarbes on the flight lines in France, after consultation with the Chairman of the NSC of the KBDB and the Ministry of Health and Welfare, decided to pigeons from the international race from Tarbes back to AGEN ? Coordinates: 44 10 21 / 00 39 21 . base distance 760 km
FYI: Agen was the release point of the internat. race in Villeneuve-sur-Lot, designed by Les Amis de Bordeaux Télévie of July 2 last.
If weather conditions permit , the release scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, July 19."

Yvan Eeckhout,

Tuesday 19th July. Held over Agen, sorry again due to weather.

It is now suggested on PIPA that if there is no liberation by 0700  Wednesday 20th then the pigeons will be brought back for the first time from an International race.

Wednesday 20th July. It would appear the pigeons were liberated at 0650 UK time.
